So my goals from last week….sigh. Fail, fail, fail. I flaked out on my 4th day of exercise. It was just a crazy busy weekend, which is an excuse, I COULD have gotten up early on Saturday, but I chose to sleep. I’m not overly upset about it, but a little disappointed in myself. This week isn’t shaping up to be much better…I’m leaving for the mountains on Thursday afternoon-Sunday. We did go to the gym on Sunday, I skipped yesterday, so today I MUST do something. I’m thinking bike ride after work…the weather is gorgeous on the east coast this week and I want to enjoy it!
The eating I goal I DID stick to…despite going to a birthday party Saturday afternoon and dinner out for my dad’s birthday Saturday evening. Did I have a few bites of cake? Yes, I did. But I didn’t pig out, I didn’t feel like shit due to pigging out and I was able to enjoy myself…I call that a win! I’m still working on the water…I feel like getting enough water is the bane of my existence right now. I’m determined to get 64oz in for a week straight. I figure once I get it in a few days, it’ll come easier after that.
On Sunday I cleaned out my closet. I’m not sure if I should be depressed or elated, lol. Elated because I tried on all of my pants and 80% of them are too big. I kept some that are still in the big range, but are at least wearable for the time being. I got rid of a LOT of shirts and dresses too. My closet is so bare…it’s sad. I still have to go through my sweaters…I have a lot of cardigans, which I think I’ll be able to hang onto for awhile at least! I’ve gotten a few things via Facebook re-sale sites and consignment stores, so I’ll hopefully be ok for fall…come winter I’ll probably need to re-evaluate though!
The next few weeks are going to be busy and difficult…I’m away this weekend, picnics Labor Day weekend, away the following weekend (and staying in a hotel, meaning all meals out) and a wedding the weekend after that. October we’re going to a Phillies game and I’m going on an overnight girls trip (again with the hotel). It’s funny how a year ago, I didn’t see any of these things as challenging or difficult. But now, all I can think about is what am I going to eat and will I gain weight. Pre-planning is going to be my middle name!
Weekly Goals:
1. Continue with the good eating…add in some veggies (I have zoodles on the dinner menu!)
2. WATER, WATER, WATER!!!
3. Stay on track with eating while at the mountains
4. Exercise at least once more before leaving on Thursday and go for a walk at least once while at the mountains.
